Volunteers
Parya's programs could not exist without the support of our incredible Volunteers.
Our Board of Directors is made up of volunteers who work hard to run the programs and administrative ship that is Parya. We always need more people to support what we do, help with events, teach classes and spend time.
Would you like to help Parya run events and activities through volunteering? Parya is supported in many ways by a large and vibrant volunteer base and volunteers play a key role in making Parya a successful community centre. They contribute actively in all aspects of the organization and help us provide exemplary services to all members of the Iranian-Canadian community including seniors, youth and newcomers.
Annually, Parya’s dedicated volunteers contribute more than 106,000 hours of their valuable time to ensuring Parya Trillium programs run smoothly, the equivalent of 54 full-time staff.
Our volunteers come from all different age groups and backgrounds. We provide orientation and ongoing training for all new volunteers. Volunteering contributions are recognized in our annual Volunteer Recognition Week and social activities are organized to enhance team spirit and promote staff-volunteer relationship.

Please note: that all volunteers over the age of 18 will be required to follow the regular screening process which includes a Police Reference Check. Volunteers aged 14-16 will be required to complete a Parental Consent form.
