On July 24, 2010 Parya’s tennis tournament took place at the Mayfair Tennis Club.
Registration began at 11:30 am and games were underway by 12:30 pm. The competition was fierce and in two categories of Singles and Doubles.
In the Singles category the winner of Gold medal was (Nourooz) Safar Shahghli, the Silver medal went to Sohrab Masoudi and the Bronze to Kasra Ardalan. In the Doubles event the winner of first prize went to FariborzKeshavarz and Farzad Khalilchi.
After the tournament we had a dinner party at Mayfair Club restaurant and the prizes were given to the champions.
This tennis tournament was manage by Dr. Reza Javdan with the help of Dr. Amir Mazinani from the Board of the Directors of Parya. The tournament would not have happened with out the help of Abbas, the tennis instructor at Mayfair club, who added to the success of the tournament and judged the final game.
We had two participating pro players, Nourooz, who is on of Iran's past tennis champions, and Sohrab Masoudi who made the games very interesting with his wonderful sense of humour. We also had two younger players from the USA, Ali and Asrar Abdolmajid who kept the level of the competition very high.
Sohrab, Fariborz and Farzad were kind enough to donate their prizes back to Parya Trillium Foundation.
