Protecting the privacy of our clients, volunteers, employees, donors and other stakeholders is guaranteed by PARYA. We greatly value the trust of those we deal with and understand that in maintaining this trust, we are committed to transparency and accountability as to how we treat the personal information that is disclosed to us.
We frequently compile and use personal information in association with:
- Various projects, workshops and activities;
- Provision of services or information to you;
- Providing information to third-parties to which you have consented;
- Evaluation the services we have provided;
- Fundraising activities
The collection and use of this information is carefully protected and secured.
Personal information is any information that can be used to identify a specific individual. The personal information we collect could include:

We do not use cookies on our website. We collect information about you only if you volunteer it.

We want our website to be informational and resourceful, therefore we also provide a number of links to third party sites. PARYA assumes no responsibility for such third-party sites. We advise visitors to review each site's privacy policy before disclosing any
information that is personally identifiable.
Any reference to other organizations and products is strictly for information and convenience. It is not an endorsement, recommendation or to signal favoritism.
Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Information
PARYA collects the personal data you provide online, when you donate, make use of, or register for our programs and services, in order to better meet your service, information, and donor needs.
We also use and disclose data, which does not identify individuals, for statistical purposes to develop and enhance our programs and services for the benefit of the community. We may also collect personal information in order to satisfy legal, government and regulatory obligations.

At PARYA we hold various special events and fundraising campaigns to build awareness and raise funds. Some of these events/campaigns require the gathering of personal information. We will always inform you of the purpose for which the information is being requested. We use this information only for the purposes related to this event and/or other fundraising campaigns.
PARYA collects personal information for processing and providing a receipt for your donation. We also, with your consent, recognize you publicly for your donation. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please communicate this desire when making your donation.
Generally, by providing us with your personal information, we assume that you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of that information for the purposes identified in this privacy policy or otherwise at the time of collection.

We maintain strict controls over access to personal information you share with PARYA and our privacy policy is in effect from first contact.
Access to your personal information is allowed only to authorized personnel required to fulfill their job requirements. All PARYA staff must sign a Confidentiality Agreement that states that identifying information regarding PARYA service users is confidential and cannot be discussed with any outside person, group or party.
PARYA will not disclose any of your personal information without your prior knowledge or consent, except when required by a government body or agency, or as required to by law.
PARYA may provide personal information, as required, to support your service elsewhere. With your consent or as required by law, we may also provide your personal information to meet legal, regulatory, insurance, audit and security requirements. We take strict measures to ensure that service providers, or our affiliates who work with your information, only use the information as you have consented.
Security and Storing of Personal Information
PARYA recognized the confidentiality of your personal information and protects it using appropriate security measures. This includes safeguards to protect against loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. Only authorized personnel, who require access to your personal information to fulfill job requirements, will have access to your personal information.
Children's Privacy
For children under 18 years of age, we will obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian to collect and use personally identifiable information about a child.
Updating of Personal Information
If you are aware of any inaccuracy or changes in the personal information we hold about you, please contact privacyofficer@parya.org. We will update your file with he necessary changes.

If you have a privacy-related complaint or concern about PARYAʼs information handling practices, we encourage you to contact PARYAʼs Privacy Officer at 905.764.0202 or by email at privacyofficer@parya.org.
You will be asked to provide the following information in writing:
- Your name, address or fax number where you prefer to be reached;
- Nature of your complaint, relevant details, and what you would like us to do; and
- Name of the PARYA staff member with whom you have already discussed the issue.
PARYA will investigate and take appropriate steps in resolving your concern.
